The study of geography in our Montessori classrooms embrace different topics in a unique multicultural perspective starting, with the study of the seven continents. This includes maps, physical geographical features of the continents, animal studies, flags, cultural celebrations, customs and traditional clothing.
Geography also entails studying the fundamental needs or a particular native group, such as the South American Yanomani tribes. In addition, students learn about the solar system, earth's cycle, time zones, atmosphere, hydrosphere and lithosphere.
